Slowing down GMO?

As you may have noticed, posting has decreased the past month. While GMO will continue to post at least 2 releases a week, a full return and re-model can be expected very soon. Along with a full return/re-model, I hope to share a few demos (for free download, of course) by my band, if they turn out well.

Thank you for visiting Generation Music Online, the highest quality picks of full free/legal releases.

Don't forget to like GMO on Facebook.

The Natives - My Song Is Gonna Set Me Free (2011)

Indie/Rock/Southern/Pop

Website free download page (Bandcamp)

Oh World Wide Web, you amaze me. I remember as a young boy, waiting outside somewhere with my grandfather while my mother shopped. A younger man came up to me and said he was studying recording arts and gave me his demo tape. It was kinda strange, as he didn't seam to give it to anyone else around. He was a pretty cool guy and I had never even thought of music going through a demoing process, tapes where just something my mother had. I was excited to go home and listen. I did so and really enjoyed, thus becoming the first EP I owned. This memory struck when Coleman Lowndes emailed me tonight to let me know about his new project's release. Lowndes is a Recording Arts Major, and has been featured here on GMO a couple of years ago. While I've been listening to The Native's new release, other than being a soundtrack for a pleasant memory, comparisons of Mumford and Sons, Downhere, and older Hockey came to mind . The southern feel is blended nicely with a Indie taste, with a Pop aftertaste enabling you to share comfortably with your friends. While I would still consider this TruIndie, it's the highest quality recordings you could possibly have with it. Well done guys, I'm sure your all pulling A's.

Point Reyes: Take Me Where You Will

You know those films where a person falls asleep or takes some really crazy drug? The room darkens, clouds emerge, and they're flying through realms unknown. I had a slightly less intense experience once Asa's trembling voice speaks out on 'Cabbages' guiding us to the yet explored. Or just maybe I'm yet to awake.

Also Farewell Party (2011) And Inspirational Singer (2011)

Wow Wes. You should try fishing, cause you really know how to get hooks in deep.
Earlier this month, if I may speak or everyone, our tiny hearts grew just a little once we heard Wes. I for one played When We Were Young on repeat. You can now stop refreshing his Bandcamp page, he's released the full version, including new songs that will surely confirm your stable long-term fanship.
Wes also released Farewell Party and Inspirational Singer which includes the missing songs and more. We now have a awesome collection of his, I kind of feel gitty.
