New York native Jordan Galland is a critically acclaimed musician, writer and filmmaker whose solo-debut album, Airbrush, was released in 2009, prior to his directorial debut on the film Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Undead (scheduled to hit theatres Spring 2010). Inspired by Leonard Cohen, David Bowie and early Francoise Hardy, Galland’s cheeky lyrics are set to pop melodies that mix horns, keys and dreamy backing vocals, creating a sound one might find on their most treasured b-side. Galland has collaborated with the likes of Sean Lennon (on his 2006 release, Friendly Fire), Mark Ronson on the soundtrack for the film 21 and most recently Daniel Merriweather on his 2009 release, Love & War. Galland’s own sophomore effort, Search Party, will be released via Chimera Music, the imprint responsible for Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band, The GOASTT, and Kemp and Eden among others.
