This Artist is an interesting outlet of media technology and production extremism. I downloaded his music, firstly a bit skeptical, but he actually did record all instruments by himself and he designed his own animations and music videos. Beside this he also is not in the Itune network, as an anti market choice I guess. Davide Di Saro' is jus nicely hidden and unknown like a true independent diy. 1 to 10 I'd give an 8 for the music(his voice is a bit at the edge and the drums might needs less compression , though the melodies are really original and emotional) and 10 for the music video, and 100 for the effort of making this for all of us. I also found on you tube his videos I just attach them right here below.
Hey I found this article in his youtube channel, seems he is a self made dude!
Writing, recording and producing an album can often be challenging for a band due to differences in opinion or clashing egos. For Davide Di Saro' it was just easier and faster to do everything himself. Di Saro wrote all the music for the album as well as played the drums, bass guitar, piano and lead guitar. "It's a never ending learning process to write down songs and record them," "More than a -do it yourself- process, it's about expression. And for me this is very necessary." said Di Saro. Expressing himself through music has lead the Italian immigrant to play four instruments: drums, guitar, bass guitar and piano -- as well as sing to get the sound he was looking for in the recording. He didn't just stop with performing and recording his band. Davide has also directed three videos to go along with songs and done several digital animations that will be in the videos. All this is done mainly with scrounged together equipment in his basement suite. "What I'm trying to do, because I basically want to play everything by myself, I think my music is some sort of statement," said Di Saro. "I am just basically declaring that it is actually possible to do whatever genre of music just being only one artist." After doing all of this work to get his first album out he is not searching of getting signed to a record label. In fact, Davide said that he would like to start his own and maybe use it to help other artists to release their own one-man band type albums. Di Saro is currently on a break from being the audio designer for the Banff New Media Institute at The Banff Centre. He has taken some time to finish animations, choose the final list of songs for the album and put on final touches like an album cover. "This is probably the beginning of a new type of music I do believe. With the technology that we have now some artists can, with concentration and effort, take care of their own songs with their home computer. I think we are entering a new era of music production," said Di Saro; and he has found that this would especially be true in Canada as once he arrived here he noticed a much wider variety of music on the radio. He heard many more independent people gaining success and said that radio in Italy is mostly just mainstream acts. "In Canada there is a strong independent scene so I was really surprised that I found people that would really push me so much in my music," said Di Saro. "Music is a really open truth for everyone here. People are free to produce, to innovate and build even a new genre of music -- play whatever they want and they can still broadcast their music."
